Smokey McSmokerson- Smoked Brown Porter 5.75% ABV 46 IBU
Not too sweet, not too smokey, but jusssss right! We brewed an easy drinking brown porter with a touch of mesquite and cherry wood smoked malt for the perfect Hawaiian winter sipper. This dark brown, traditional english style porter, has a soft toffee malt backbone that gives way to a glorious smokey flavor. The soft touch of smoke is balanced by toasty notes of sweet bread and caramel for a complex, yet approachable dark beer.
Like Rye Not- Rye Pale Ale- 5.75% ABV 45 IBU
A dry hopped pale ale with a subtle touch of peppery rye spice, this beer is balancing act. We start with a easy drinking pale ale base then punch it up with a healthy amount of rye malt which adds just a hint of spice towards the end of each sip. We then layer vibrant aromas and flavors of orange zest and grapefruit by dry hopping with Amarillo and Simcoe hops. This is a pale ale with character and drink-ability all in one.
Zest of Both Worlds- Meyer Lemon Sour Collaboration with Upland Brewing
Zest of Both Worlds is the liquid embodiment of the Meyer lemon, a sweeter version of the lemons most of us are used to with a more complex aroma that stretches into the spectrum of other citrus fruits like orange and lime. Not only was this beer brewed with the Meyer lemons from a local Hawaiian farm, but it was soured with a culture of bacteria harvested from the skins of lemons from that same farm. Zest pours golden yellow with a light haze. The aroma is that of refreshing citrus with a delicate spicy background. Lemon/orange citrus character and a crisp lactic acidity dominate the flavor followed by light grainy notes from a rustic malt bill and ending with a clean dry finish.
